The hat is something he's been very attached to all winter, and I'm hoping that by summer I can convince him to wear a ball cap or something... but the glasses are a great step!
He's not big on hand-holding, and he's a runner really fast explorer...having a service dog tethered to him would keep him safe and allow him the independence to not have to hold my hand everywhere we go.
I know it is still a long way off, but I am very excited about this whole process...I keep dreaming of all the great things we'll be able to do when Thor is finally matched with his helping paw...

Baby steps is best. :)
I'm stopping by with the blog hops. I have two sons with Asperger Syndrome but they (sadly) became dog phobic after a bad experience with an untrained German Shepherd. :(
We got some cats though, and they love them. It's not quite the same, but they are both good and sweet (and tolerant) kitties. The boys love them.
Good luck finding the right dog for Thor. I'll be following now. I'm at http://homeschoolblogger.com/brindamorr/ if you'd like to follow back.
